What Kids Say
Marisa
A simple act of kindness could be just as simple as opening a door, smiling to
brighten a room, or helping without reward. A caring act could be to help
someone if they are having trouble with something. A simple act of kindness is
not just for one place or time; people should remember simple acts of care and
kindness for everywhere and all people. Everyone appreciates a simple act of
care and kindness, regardless of their age. Older people usually appreciate it
more. The main reason for believing in simple acts of care and kindness relates
back to the golden rule: Treat others as you would like to be treated. It's when
someone smiles at you or holds the door open. Action speaks louder than words.
That is why it is important to do a simple act of care and kindness everyday and
to always treat others as you would like to be treated. Kindness has no age
limit and to care lasts a lifetime.

One day I saw my friend Nicole was hurt. I took Nicole to the Nurse's office.
Nicole was happy that her stomach did not hurt. Nicole got hurt on her knee
because we accidentally ran on the black top. Then Nicole tripped on the black
top. It really hurt a lot. She was crying because it hurt a lot. Then I helped
her go to the office to rest a little bit. Then she stopped crying. She felt
better. Then I took her back to class.

One day I saw a boy fell off the swing at the park and I helped him. I told his
dad what happened. His dad said I will take him to the doctor.

Simple Acts of Care and Kindness. One day my grandma was sick so she had to go
to my house. My grandma called me to get her medicine so she could be better.
Then I helped my grandma walk. Then I played ball with my sister and my grandma.
I threw the ball softly to my grandma. Then we saw grandma’s favorite show. Then
I sat down and my grandma laid down. I thought my grandma couldn't see, so I
moved aside for her to see. I was happy I could help her that day.

Simple Acts of Care and Kindness. Doing nice things for people show acts of care
and kindness. Help others. Don't laugh when someone makes a mistake. Do not
litter so we can have a clean world. Have good sportsmanship so there won't be
any fits. By doing these things we will have a better life.

Simple Acts of Care and Kindness. Sharing is being kind. Cleaning up makes the
world more beautiful than it was. Help others when they make mistakes. Share
food with others and don't tease others. Try to help our world be a better
place.

Simple Acts of Care and Kindness are good things to do. It is always a good
thing to be kind. There are many ways to be kind. A couple ways to be kind are
helping a relative, or doing something special for a friend. At school we had a
week to show that we could be kind, but I think people should always be kind.
Not just for a week. When our school celebrated "SACK", we got stickers for each
day we did something kind. We had 12 things we could do to earn a sticker.
They were:
- Smile at an elderly person.
- Care for a friend who is hurt.
- Encourage someone to do his or her best.
- Share your popcorn at the movies.
- Give a kind word to someone who is sad.
- Help mom do the dishes.
- Bake a batch of cookies for your class.
- Open the door for someone.
- Read a story to your younger sister or brother.
- Hug your mother or father when you get home.
- Write a thank you note when you receive a letter.
- Send a special note to your grandparents (for no special occasion.)
You just don't have to be nice to just one certain person. You can and should be nice to all people, all the time. Some people don't like each other. I think all people should get along in all ways possible. People shouldn't fight over little things, especially best friends. You don't have to do something hard to be kind, all it takes is a simple act of kindness.
